What We Believe
The following are the core beliefs of Bible Believers Church - each belief is based upon our understanding of the word of God in its proper context.
The Divine Inspiration of the Scriptures
We believe in the absolute authority of the Holy scriptures.
We believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16) and is without error.
When we refer to scripture, we are referring to the Hebrew Masoretic Text, The Greek Textus Receptus, AND the English King James Bible (Authorized Version).
We believe that the God who gave His word to man has taken upon Himself the responsibility for its preservation (Psalms 12:6-7).
We believe that the word of God, which cannot pass away, is available to the English-speaking world in the Authorized (King James) Bible.
We believe the Authorized King James Bible was written supernaturally and verbally inspired, and is the very word of God, wholly without error. This Bible is our final authority in all matters.

The Godhead
We believe in one God eternally existent as the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost (1 John 5:7).
We believe that the God of the Bible is the Creator of the universe and that His creation will ultimately stand in judgment of Him in the last day (2 Tim 4:1) (1 Pet 4:5).
We believe God to be the Creator and Sustainer of all things, visible and invisible (Gen 2:4) (Rev 4:11).
We believe the universe and all that is therein to be held together by the word of His power (Heb 1:3).
We believe that the God of the Bible is the Creator of the universe and that His creation will ultimately stand in judgment of Him in the last day (2 Tim 4:1) (1 Pet 4:5).

The Person of Jesus Christ
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ to be God manifest in the flesh (1 Tim 3:16), virgin born (Isa 7:14), without sin (2 Co 5:21), crucified (Mark 15:25), risen (Mark 16:6) and coming again to receive His church (1 Thes 4:17) and establish His kingdom (Rev 20:6) (Isa 9:6-7).
The Salvation of Fallen Man
We believe that the redemption of fallen man is through the blood of Jesus Christ (Eph 1:7). Jesus Christ shed His blood for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2).
Salvation is available to all men by grace through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, apart from human works or merit of any kind (Eph 2:8-9).
We believe all men rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in the conscious torment of a literal lake of fire, while those receiving the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in the glorious presence of God (Dan 12:2).

The Eternal Security of the Believer
Those who have actually trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior will never depart from Him so far as to be finally lost for eternity. Salvation is a work of God wholly of His grace, and He has promised and is able to keep His children secure. We believe the saved child of God is sealed, taught, and comforted by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption (Eph 4:30) (John 10:28-29) (Rom 8:38-39).
Evangelism
Because all men everywhere without Christ are lost and face eternal punishment in the lake of fire (Rev 20:15), it is every believer’s responsibility as a debtor to all men to preach unto them the gospel of Jesus Christ (Mark 16:15).
We believe it is the responsibility of every believer to proclaim the saving gospel by personal testimony and by giving of their means to finance the missionary efforts of the church (Matt 10:8).

The Church
We believe all saved men should be separate from the outward and inner ways of this world, being holy in mind and body (2 Co 6:17). We believe, however, that righteousness does not come by keeping of laws and commandments (Tit 3:5) but by an inner change of heart. We therefore place emphasis on the inner condition, trusting the outward appearance to follow accordingly (Luke 6:45).
We believe that the only form of baptism is complete immersion in water (Acts 8:39).
We believe that the purpose of baptism is to publicly identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and is therefore an outward act meant to reflect an inner work (1 Co 15:3-4).
This act is only made by those who have trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior (Acts 8:12) (Acts 8:36-37).
We believe that water baptism plays no part in salvation (1 Peter 3:21) or making one a member of the church.
We believe that any attempt by the state to interfere with the working of the church or by the church to interfere with the working of the state is a violation of God’s purpose for both (Acts 5:29) (1 Peter 2:17).
We believe in the priesthood of all believers and decry any fashion of exalting one member of the body of Christ, or one gift of the Spirit above another (1 Co 10:17) (Eph 4:11-13).
We believe that the church is a body of which Jesus is the head (1 Co 11:3) (Eph 4:15). Thus it is not a democracy to be run by the will of its members but is to conduct its temporal as well as its spiritual business in strict accordance to the word of God (Heb 4:12).
