ENROLLMENT POLICY

  • Every family that joins Fruited Branch Ministry (FBM) must respect our Statement of Faith and not teach anything contrary to the beliefs held at Bible Believers Church.
  • Open enrollment is at the beginning of every semester.  There are typically two semesters per year.  Decision to enroll must be finalized during the registration window.
  • There is an informational meeting held at the beginning of every semester. Attendance is strongly encouraged.
  • Families who participate will be required to commit for the entire semester.
  • In the event a parent/caregiver is unable to commit, but desires their child to participate, enrollment will be assessed based on the family’s need and FBM’s ability to meet that need on a semester-by-semester basis.
  • Every family must bring a dish to pass for any scheduled meal, if their family is participating in that meal.
  • Any activity off church premise requires a parent/caregiver to be present or a signed consent form to attend, except for any gym class held outside of Bible Believers property.

TEACHER/HELPER/FLOATER POLICY

  • Every parent/caregiver must volunteer to teach or help where needed for the duration of the semester.
  • Every parent/caregiver must be willing to substitute (floater) for a teacher/helper in case a situation arises which will keep a teacher/helper from being present in class.
  • Every teacher must provide all materials needed or inform parents of supplies required so students can complete their class assignments.
  • Any bible related teaching must be taught only from the King James version.  Any worksheets/printables with verses from another version will not be acceptable. Please, find a good KJV source or update the worksheet to reflect God’s holy word.
  • If a teacher decides to provide a snack for class, a healthy snack is preferred. The snack must be consumed only in class or the fellowship room and during the hour the teacher has class. No snacks should be brought into another teacher's class. The teacher is responsible for cleaning up.
  • Please be informed of any allergies your students may have and how to handle that situation if an emergency arises.

STUDENT POLICY

Please review with your children
  • Every student is expected to be respectful toward their teacher/helper and all other students.
  • Every student must follow the instruction given by their teacher/helper unless previously discussed with parent/caregiver.
  • Every student is required to participate in the class they attend.  If a parent/caregiver wishes their child not participate in the class, the child must stay with their parent/caregiver.
  • Every student must dress modestly, especially for gym class.
  • If gym is held inside the building, wet footwear is not permitted during class.
  • Students must bring their own water bottle to FBM.
  • Students must be prepared with all necessary supplies to complete their class assignments.
  • There will be no eating in any room besides the Fellowship room unless given permission by the teacher.
  • Students will be expected to help clean up, as well as complete specific chores after any meal.
  • Students must keep doors open and at no time be behind closed doors without a teacher present.
  • No outside toys/games/electronics prohibited during class.

DISCIPLINE POLICY

  • If a child forgets their supplies for class, a verbal reminder will be given.  If a child forgets again, they may be asked to not participate until they bring their supplies.
  • If a child exhibits any behavioral problems, the child will be given a verbal warning.  If the child continues, removal from class may be possible.  The child will need to wait in the church office or hallway until class is over.
  • Teachers will inform parents/caregivers of any disciplinary action taken.

COMMUNICATION POLICY

  • A download of BBBC’s app is needful to keep updated throughout the semester.
  • Please open an account and modify your settings to receive FBM push notifications. You will also need to accept the invitation into the FBM Teacher Group.
  • There is a FBM Student Group for students to have a place to communicate and share their thoughts. The student will need to open an account and be invited. The messaging group contains three moderators.
  • The messaging groups are only for those enrolled in any current semester.

ABSENTEE POLICY

  • If a teacher cannot make it that day, they are responsible for contacting the helper and the floater assigned to their classes.
  • The teacher should provide lesson plans to the helper, if possible.
  • If multiple teachers are absent on the same day, FBM may be cancelled, and we will resume on the next scheduled class date. Teachers will need to make any appropriate updates to their lesson plans.
  • In the event poor weather conditions require us to cancel, a push notification will be sent out confirming FBM is cancelled.

SAFETY AND ILLNESS POLICY

  • Children must wash their hands at the end of every class.
  • There is no running anywhere in the building unless it is instructed by a gym teacher during gym time.
